For the EDGE network

You know the network. Let's place a project.

If you're a company or an EDGE-affiliated program, skip the pitch. Submit a project or your university's capabilities below — the clearinghouse and the standardized MOU handle the rest.

10 projects · 4 Northeast EDGE universities this cohort · standardized IP transfer
What's different for members

Standardized, so engagement is fast

1

One MOU across schools

A consortium-wide memorandum and IP-transfer framework — no bespoke contract per university.

$5K

Sponsor share this round

a matching grant covers the other $10,000 of the $15,000 project cost for the current cohort.

↦

Rules-based matching

Mutual selection first, then balanced team composition and distribution across partner universities.

Industry sponsors

Sponsor a microelectronics project

Focus areas span 5G/6G, AI hardware, secure edge/IoT, advanced packaging, materials, and circuit design. Projects should be relevant but not mission-critical, with a technical and a business lead and a biweekly cadence.

EDGE universities

Register your capstone capabilities

Report programs, labs, faculty focus, terms, and how many projects you can host. The pilot runs with four EDGE universities in the Northeast: Brown, Dartmouth, Olin, and the University of Vermont. Each EDGE school approaches capstones differently, and many run them at the department level rather than through a central office, so bringing a new school on board involves an individual intake meeting to map its process and keep the experience consistent for industry partners.
